- Very affordable.
- 90-day "love it or exchange it" trial period.
- 25-year limited warranty.
IKEA needs no introduction.
This Swedish furniture retailer stocks a large selection of IKEA mattresses, beds, and sleep accessories at incredibly low prices.
One in five people in Ireland actually sleeps on an IKEA mattress!
But are IKEA mattresses any good?
And how do you make sense of the vast selection available?
We've spent some time in the IKEA sleep world to give you this IKEA mattress review 🤓
Below, you'll find our selection of the best IKEA mattresses to buy in Ireland, the best alternatives, and all the nitty-gritty you need to pay attention to when buying from IKEA.
Let's get straight to it 👇
The IKEA Morgedal is a low-height all-foam mattress with a cotton & polyester cover.
This is a two-layered medium-firm memory foam mattress available in a variety of standard Ireland mattress sizes.
The IKEA Morgedal is one of the more premium all-foam mattresses IKEA has on offer.
It features two layers of foam:
The Morgedal mattress also comes with a soft and cushioning zip-off cover with side handles for easy transportation. 🥰
It's delivered rolled-up but, once expanded, it'll reach an average height of 18 cm (7 inches). This is relatively low but good enough for occasional use.
The IKEA Morgedal is an incredibly firm mattress.
While rated as a Which? Best Buy mattress for being simple, affordable, and yet comfortable, we found it a little too firm. 🧱
You'll definitely get the feeling that you're lying on top of your bed. If this is what you need, then you may be perfectly comfortable on the IKEA Morgedal.
But, we'd opt for the Nectar memory foam mattress instead, which also offers a firmer feel but consists of more premium materials and offers a greater height, more spinal support, greater release of pressure points, and greater overall comfort.

Composition | Memory foam & cold foam |
Firmness level: | Firm |

The IKEA Malfors is an all-foam mattress with a white, machine-washable cover.
This is a super low-height mattress that only measures 12 cm (4.7 inches).
The IKEA Malfors is an elegant all-white foam mattress available at a very good price.
The mattress is made of polyurethane foam with a density of 33 kg/cu.m.
It is available in two different firmness levels:
This is super convenient. If you buy one but aren't perfectly happy, you can exchange it for the other one (within 90 days).
Despite being a simple mattress, it offers good support and comfort, is quite durable, and has good motion isolation.
It's even been rated as a Which? Outstanding Value mattress with a score of 72%.
The mattress has an elegant white cover that's removable and machine-washable at 60℃. 🛀
It doesn't have any side handles but the mattress is very lightweight, so it's relatively easy to move around.
The downside is that the IKEA Malfors mattress is only 12 cm (4.7 inches) thick. Most standard bed-in-a-box mattresses are 25 cm (10 inches) thick.
While supportive and relatively comfortable, we wouldn't recommend the IKEA Malfors for long-term use.
You could probably use it in a guest bedroom or a holiday home. 🏖
The mattress is available in standard Ireland sizes. Amazon only sells the European sizes, though.

The IKEA Moshult is a children's all-foam mattress with a white cover.
This mattress is available in standard Ireland single sizes.
The IKEA Moshult is recommended as an all-foam children's mattress.
It consists of a layer of polyurethane foam with a density of 33 kg/cu.m.
It also features a white 100% polyester cover, which is removable and machine-washable at 60℃. 🧺
The IKEA Moshult is available in three single sizes:
The mattress is only 10 cm thick (3.9 inches), but this is on par with other baby and cot mattresses.
For example, the Eve cot mattress, a very high-quality product, is also only 10 cm thick.
If you're looking to buy a mattress for your baby or child, though, we'd recommend choosing a higher-quality product.
Healthy growth and bone development at a young age are very important, and you want a mattress that will give your child the best support possible.
Take a look at our article on mattresses for babies and children for more information.

The IKEA Vatneström is a premium pocket sprung mattress with natural materials.
This mattress features natural materials like natural latex, coconut fibre, cotton, and wool from sustainable sources.
The IKEA Vatneström is one of the higher-quality IKEA mattresses.
It features steel pocket springs with latex foam, as well as coir, latex, and wool wadding.
Natural materials from sustainable sources provide for additional comfort and enhance temperature regulation.
The elegant beige mattress cover is not removable, but it can be cleaned with upholstery shampoo. 🧼
The IKEA Vatneström is available in two firmness levels:
You can choose whichever level is most comfortable for you. If you're not happy, you can exchange the mattress within the 90-day trial period.
The mattress is comfortable and offers good support, but it lacks stability and support dwindles after some time, especially for back and stomach sleepers.
Temperature regulation is excellent, though, so it's a good choice for hot sleepers. 🧊
The IKEA Vatneström has been voted a Which? Respectable mattress, scoring 66%.
It's a very good mattress for the price, but, if you can invest a little more, we'd recommend opting for the Simba Hybrid instead.
IKEA Vatneström | |
Composition: | Pocket springs with latex foam |
Firmness level: | Medium-firm & firm |
Height: | 26 cm (10.2 inches) |
Cover: | Cotton |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress double, king, super king |
The IKEA Hokkåsen is one of the thickest pocket spring mattresses in the IKEA portfolio.
This mattress features two layers of pocket springs and adaptable latex foam for superior comfort.
The IKEA Hokkåsen is a premium pocket sprung mattress with latex foam.
It features two layers of pocket springs with comfort layers of latex foam and polyurethane foam.
The pocket springs provide high elasticity and distribute pressure fairly well. 🌀
The mattress is available in two firmness levels, medium-firm and firm.
You can choose the firmness level you find the most comfortable.
The mattress also features a white 100% polyester cover. Unfortunately, the cover is not removable.
The IKEA Hokkåsen is very comfortable and offers excellent support, no matter your sleeping position or bodyweight.
It also regulates temperature very well. 💨
On the downside, it doesn't fare so well in terms of motion transfer (meaning you'll feel your partner move) and support tends to deteriorate after some time as the mattress becomes softer.
The IKEA Hokkåsen received a Which? Decent rating, with a score of 68%.
Overall, it's a good mattress available at a budget price. 💷
IKEA Hokkåsen | |
Composition: | Full-size and mini pocket springs with latex foam |
Firmness level: | Medium-firm & firm |
Height: | 31 cm (12.2 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress double, king, super king |
The IKEA Hyllestad is a pocket sprung mattress with a memory foam comfort layer.
The 27 cm-high Hyllestad is one of the top-quality IKEA mattresses.
The IKEA Hyllestad is one of the higher-quality IKEA mattresses.
It features steel pocket springs, a layer of polyurethane foam, and a layer of polyurethane comfort memory foam with a density of 50 kg/cu.m.
The mattress is available in two degrees of firmness, medium-firm and firm.
If you don't like one, you can exchange it for the other as part of the 90-day love it or exchange it guarantee.👌
The IKEA Hyllestad has a non-removable 100% polyester cover.
It has a height of 27 cm (10.6 inches), which compares favourably to other bed-in-a-box mattresses.
The mattress is comfortable and breathable, offers good support, and is likely to last you a long time.
The memory foam does retain more heat, so it's not as cool as some of the other IKEA pocket sprung mattresses. 🥵
The IKEA Hyllestad has been voted a Which? Worth Considering mattress, scoring 67%.
It's a good mattress if you have budgetary constraints, but there are better pocket memory foam mattresses - we can recommend the Brook + Wilde Lux and the Otty Hybrid.
IKEA Hyllestad | |
Composition: | Pocket springs with memory foam |
Firmness level: | Medium-firm & firm |
Height: | 27 cm (10.6 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress single, double, king, super king |
The IKEA Hövag is a budget pocket spring mattress available in two firmness levels.
This is one of IKEA's most popular mattresses with dozens of favourable customer reviews.
The IKEA Hövag is a budget pocket spring mattress, and one of IKEA's most popular mattresses.
The mattress features steel pocket springs and a polyurethane foam comfort layer, with a density of 33 kg/cu.m.
It is available in two degrees of firmness, medium-firm and firm.
The mattress has a white and dark grey mattress cover. Unfortunately, the cover is not removable or machine-washable. 😞
It is a rolled mattress but, once expanded, it reaches a height of 24 cm (9.4 inches). This is just under the bed-in-a-box standard.
The mattress is very supportive and durable, and has even received 70% in the Which? Consumer Association tests.
It's a good budget mattress, but there are many other budget mattresses that are much, much better.
We'd recommend the Eve Lighter Hybrid instead, which features higher-quality materials.
IKEA Hövag | |
Composition: | Steel pocket springs with polyurethane foam |
Firmness level: | Medium-firm & firm |
Height: | 24 cm (9.4 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester & viscose |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress single, small double, double, king, super king, 90 x 200 cm, 140 x 200 cm, 160 x 200 cm |
The IKEA Hamarvik is a Bonnell steel spring mattress with polyurethane foam.
This cheap open coil mattress is available in standard Ireland mattress sizes.
The IKEA Hamarvik is a cheaper open coil spring mattress.
It features Bonnell steel springs with a polyurethane foam comfort layer.
The mattress is available in two degrees of firmness, medium-firm and firm.
Surprisingly, this mattress scored 74% in the Which? tests and has been rated an impressive mattress.
The IKEA Hamarvik offers excellent support, durability, and breathability. 💨
But, we don't often recommend open coil mattresses.
Even quality open coil mattresses cannot compare to pocket spring mattresses and lack significantly in terms of motion isolation - and comfort.
We'd rather recommend pocket spring or hybrid mattresses like the Otty Hybrid.
IKEA Hamarvik | |
Composition: | Bonnell steel springs with polyurethane foam |
Firmness level: | Medium-firm & firm |
Height: | 21 cm (8.2 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress single, double, king |
The IKEA Husvika is a day-bed mattress in one standard 80 x 200 cm size.
Unfortunately, this mattress is currently not available online but we have included it for information purposes.
The IKEA Husvika is a day-bed spring mattress in the 80 x 200 cm size.
It also fits children's extendable beds (if fully extended).
The mattress is composed of Bonnell steel springs and a comfort layer of polyurethane foam, with a density of 35 kg/cu.m.
The beige cover is made of 73% polyester, 20% modacrylic, and 7% cotton.
The cover is not washable but can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. 🧽
It's a good mattress if you're looking for something simple and cheap, but we wouldn't recommend it for everyday use.
Consider one of the budget-friendly Silentnight mattresses instead.
IKEA Husvika | |
Composition: | Open coil steel springs with polyurethane foam |
Firmness level: | Firm |
Height: | 13 cm (5 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester, modacrylic, and cotton |
Available sizes: | 80 x 200 cm |
The IKEA Hafslo is a cheap open coil mattress with Bonnell steel springs.
This rolled mattress is quick & easy to set up.
The IKEA Hafslo is one of the cheapest coil spring mattresses on the market.
It consists of Bonnell steel springs and a comfort layer of polyurethane foam with a density of 33 kg/cu.m.
The mattress features a non-removable 100% polyester cover in an elegant beige.
Even though a mattress this cheap can hardly be recommended, it scored surprisingly well in the Which? tests, raking in 67%.
The IKEA Hafslo has been commended for its good support, breathability, durability, and unbelievably cheap price. 💷
But, it scored terribly in terms of motion isolation and cannot be recommended for couples.
If you're looking for one of the cheapest - but still relatively decent - mattresses out there, this is a good option. 👍
But we would highly recommend looking at some of the higher quality mattresses that offer much better spinal alignment and higher levels of comfort.
You could look at the Silentnight Mattress-Now 7 Zone memory foam mattress as a slightly more expensive alternative.
IKEA Hafslo | |
Composition: | Bonnell steel springs with polyurethane foam |
Firmness level: | Medium-firm & firm |
Height: | 18 cm (7 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress single, double, king |
The IKEA Vadsö is the cheapest sprung mattress available.
This is the only IKEA mattress that comes in a light blue colour!
The IKEA Vadsö is the cheapest mattress in the IKEA mattress range.
It is made of steel Bonnell springs with a comfort layer of polyurethane foam, with a density of 33 kg/cu.m.
It has a light blue, non-removable cover.
Surprisingly, this mattress offers phenomenal value for money.
It's even scored 72% in the Which? tests, and has been rated as "an excellent choice".🏅
This is a very firm mattress that offers good stability and support, though it is tremendously bouncy.
If you're looking for a very low-budget mattress, the IKEA Vadsö is a good choice.
But, we wouldn't recommend it for long-term use.
If you're looking to invest in a high-quality mattress, it's better to opt for mattresses with pocket springs and higher-density foams.
The quality of your mattress affects the quality of your sleep, after all, and the quality of your sleep affects the quality of your life.
Our favourite pocket sprung foam mattress is the Simba Hybrid.
IKEA Vadsö | |
Composition: | Bonnell springs with polyurethane foam |
Firmness level: | Firm |
Height: | 17 cm (6.7 inches) |
Cover: | Polyester & viscose/rayon |
Available sizes: | IKEA mattress single, IKEA mattress double |
Walking through an IKEA store is a bit like venturing through a well-designed maze.
But exploring their mattress world is more like running around a chaotic maze with no lights turned on - especially if you're new to mattresses.
With an extensive selection of mattresses in a variety of different mattress materials, it can be challenging to navigate the IKEA sleep space.
It doesn't help that the names of the different models are all of Swedish origin and give no indication as to what type of mattress to expect.
But, luckily, that's why we're here to help you 🥳
We've spent countless hours making sense of IKEA mattresses so that you don't have to.
IKEA mattresses all look very similar - but they're all quite different.
The best way to divide them is to look at the different materials.
IKEA offers mattresses made of many different materials, including springs, pocket springs, cold foam, polyfoam, polyether, memory foam, synthetic latex, and natural latex mattresses.
In order to make sense of the IKEA mattress range, we've sorted the mattresses according to mattress type in the tables below.
This will make it easier for you to find the right model quickly.
These are mattresses for adults and children.
We'll also explore the children's mattresses in more detail further down in this article 👇
All-foam mattresses are among the cheapest mattresses available.
But, there can be significant differences in the quality of foam beds, depending on the type of foam used.
High-density memory foam, for example, is a very high-quality foam used in great mattresses, offering you an exceptional night's sleep 😴
One of our all-time favourite memory foam mattresses is the Nectar.
Cheap polyether foam, in contrast, won't be very comfortable - or supportive.
Take a look at the Ireland foam mattresses below 👇
Type | Height | Layers & density | Firmness | Cover | Price from
Morgedal | High resilience foam | 18 cm |
High resilience polyurethane foam (50 kg / m3) Polyurethane foam (30 kg / m3) |
Firm | Cotton & polyester | €129 |
Malfors | Foam | 12 cm | Polyurethane foam (33 kg / m3) | Medium-firm & firm | Polyester | €85 |
Moshult | Foam | 10 cm |
Polyurethane foam (33 kg / m3) |
Medium-firm | Polyester | €70 |
Spring mattresses are the most common mattresses worldwide 🌍
They generally offer much better support and better ventilation than foam mattresses.
Like foam mattresses, though, you can get both quality innerspring mattresses (like pocket sprung mattresses) or cheap innerspring mattresses (like open coil mattresses).
You're also likely to find hybrid mattresses, which combine pocket springs with multiple layers of foam 😎
We really like hybrid mattresses, but, currently, IKEA doesn't offer any hybrid models.
Our favourite hybrid mattress is the Simba Hybrid.
Take a look at the Ireland IKEA spring mattresses below 👇
Type | Height | Layers | Firmness | Cover | Price from
Vatneström | Pocket springs | 26 cm | Steel springs with latex foam and latex, coir, and wool padding | Medium-firm & firm | Cotton | €499 (standard double) |
Hokkåsen | Pocket springs | 31 cm | Double welded steel springs with polyurethane foam & latex foam | Medium-firm & firm | Polyester | €379 (standard double) |
Hyllestad | Pocket springs | 27 cm | Steel springs with polyurethane foam & memory foam | Medium-firm & firm | Polyester | €215 |
Hövag | Pocket springs | 24 cm | Steel springs with polyurethane foam | Medium-firm & firm | Polyester & viscose | €129 |
Hamarvik | Springs | 21 cm | Bonell steel springs with polyurethane foam | Medium-firm & firm | Polyester | €99 |
Husvika | Springs | 13 cm | Bonell steel springs with polyurethane foam | Firm | Polyester, modacrylic & cotton | €115 (only available in 80 x 200 cm) |
Hafslo | Springs | 18 cm | Bonell steel springs with polyurethane foam | Firm | Polyester | €75 |
Vadsö | Springs | 17 cm | Bonell steel springs with polyurethane foam | Firm | Polyester & viscose/rayon | €55 |
Choosing a new mattress is never easy - something IKEA is well aware of.
That's why they've developed a digital IKEA mattress quiz to help you find the best IKEA mattress.
This online quiz leads you through a series of questions to help you find your ideal mattress 🤔
Questions include:
We'll explain why these points matter below 👇
The quiz is super simple and only takes a few minutes to complete.
Once finished, IKEA recommends several mattresses from their range.
Of course, the size of your mattress matters if you're sharing your bed with a partner 👩❤️👨
But, there are also a few other things you need to pay attention to:
If you have a large enough mattress with good edge support and low motion transfer, you can share a bed most comfortably with another person.
We found all IKEA mattresses to be lacking in terms of edge support.
If this is a non-negotiable (or you love sitting on the edge of your bed), we'd recommend you look at some of our favourite alternatives, like the Nectar memory foam mattress or the Simba Hybrid.
Your bed frame also matters.
Unless you're looking to invest in a new bed frame as well, you'll need to get a mattress that works well with your current bed frame.
Different mattress materials retain heat differently.
This is why your preferred temperature matters.
Memory foam, for example, retains more heat than other types of foam 🥵
This isn't ideal if you're a heavy sweater or easily feel hot at night.
Spring mattresses are generally the most breathable and the preferred choice for heavier sweaters or people who prefer a cooler sleep ❄️
Your build, weight, and preferred sleeping position affect the degree of firmness you should be choosing.
We categorise mattresses according to our Sleep Hero firmness scale, which runs from 1 to 10 (where 1 is the softest and 10 the firmest).
Lighter-weight people, for example, will often do better on a slightly softer mattress, while heavier-weight people or those of larger builds often require a firmer mattress that offers more support.
Similarly, side sleepers often need a softer mattress that allows their hips and shoulders to sink in more deeply 🛌
Back sleepers and stomach sleepers can opt for a slightly firmer mattress as they need more lift for their hips and shoulders.
Getting the right mattress firmness to match your build and preferred sleeping position is important to allow for optimal spinal alignment 📏
Your spine should remain straight no matter your sleeping position.
This will prevent aches and pains.
IKEA mattresses are generally quite firm 🧱
This is great for heavier-weight sleepers but can be quite uncomfortable for lighter-weight or average-weight sleepers.
If you already have an IKEA mattress and want to make it more comfortable, we'd recommend investing in a mattress topper.
Mattress toppers are pads of extra material that you place on top of your mattress 🤗
These offer greater comfort and are used to make firmer mattresses feel softer - but we'd steer clear of IKEA mattress toppers.
IKEA mattresses are available in most standard Ireland mattress sizes
Standard Ireland sizes include:
IKEA mattresses are also commonly available in standard European sizes 🇪🇺
Standard European sizes include:
Not all IKEA mattresses are available in all sizes.
Below, you'll find an overview of which Ireland IKEA mattresses are available in which sizes.

IKEA mattress single 90 x 190 cm | Morgedal, Malfors, Moshult, Hyllestad, Hövag, Hamarvik, Hafslo, Vadsö |

IKEA mattress EU size 160 x 200 cm | Morgedal, Hövag |
IKEA mattress super king 180 x 200 cm | Vatneström, Hokkåsen, Hyllestad, Hövag |
The right mattress size for you will depend on your personal situation, budget, and the size of your room.
As a guideline:
We'd recommend that couples opt for a king-size or larger.
This ensures that both partners have enough space to move comfortably.
Our mattress size guide can help you choose the right size for you.
IKEA has some of the most affordable mattresses on the market.
Even their most expensive mattresses are quite a bit cheaper than other value-for-money alternatives like the Nectar memory foam mattress and the Simba Hybrid.
But, like with most things in life, you end up getting what you pay for.
Many of the IKEA mattresses are unnecessarily firm and uncomfortable 😩
They may be a good option for occasional use or if you need a cheap mattress urgently, but we wouldn't recommend them for long-term use.
We'd recommend you look at some of our mattress alternatives below 👇
By now, you know that we're not big fans of IKEA mattresses.
Many value-for-money bed-in-a-box mattress brands offer much better quality and attractive features, like free delivery & returns and lengthy trial periods.
Our favourite bed-in-a-box mattresses include:
Understandably, if you're looking at budget mattresses, these may be a little out of your price range 💷
If you're looking for a good budget mattress brand, we'd recommend turning to Silentnight mattresses instead.
Many of the Silentnight mattresses are also very well priced, but a lot more comfortable than most IKEA mattresses.
As with all mattresses, pay attention to the quality of the individual mattress materials 👌
Always look for all-foam mattresses with high-density foams and spring mattresses with a high spring count.
In addition to the standard adult mattresses, IKEA also offers a range of kids' and cot mattresses 🧒
The kid's range includes some extendable mattresses and the smaller sizes of the IKEA Malfors mattress and the IKEA Moshult mattress.
The IKEA cot mattresses are made from polyurethane foam.
Apart from the IKEA Pelleplutt, all of the cot mattresses have a removable and machine-washable polyester cover 🛀
The cot bed mattress range includes:
Materials | Price from | |
IKEA Pelleplutt | Foam cot mattress | €25 |
IKEA Krummelur | Foam cot mattress | €35 |
IKEA Skönast | Foam cot mattress | €55 |
IKEA Jättetrött | Pocket sprung cot mattress | €95 |
Cot mattresses are available in 60 x 120 cm and 70 x 120 cm sizes.
While choosing a high-quality mattress is important at any age, it is even more important for babies and small children.
A good cot mattress supports growth and healthy bone development 🦴
This is why it makes sense to invest in the very best quality you can afford.
We'd recommend you consider one of the more premium cot mattresses below.
Of course, IKEA is more than just a hub for mattresses.
They also have a huge selection of sleep accessories 🛌
IKEA sells everything you could need to enhance your bedroom and sleeping experience, including IKEA bed frames and slats, IKEA mattress toppers, IKEA sofa beds, bedroom furniture, lamps and reading lights, and even decorations like paintings, candles, and more.
You'll also find:

IKEA is great because it's such a one-stop hub - but we love some of the premium products other bed-in-a-box brands offer.
Below, you'll find a snapshot of our favourites 👇
You can schlepp to your nearest IKEA store to buy an IKEA mattress - but you can also order online.
Like standard bed-in-a-box mattresses, IKEA mattresses are delivered rolled-up and vacuum-pressed.
But, unlike other mattress brands like Nectar and Simba, IKEA still charges for delivery 🚛
Delivery fees vary according to the size of the parcel ordered - and since mattresses are often quite large, you can expect to pay a bit more.
Once unpacked, your mattress will slowly expand to its original size.
IKEA recommends waiting 72 hours for full expansion ⏰
Your new mattress may smell a bit when first unpacked.
This is called off-gassing and it's completely normal.
We recommend unpacking your new mattress in a well-ventilated room 🏠
While we expect IKEA delivery costs to be cut at some point, we think ordering through Amazon is a much smarter idea.
Amazon has a huge range of IKEA products.
Numerous IKEA products even qualify for free delivery 🥳
Products are generally dispatched within 10 days of purchase.
Of course, if you're an Amazon Prime member, you'll also get faster delivery.
Some European IKEA imports are a little more expensive, so double-check on prices before you purchase.
Even though IKEA offers a standard 365-day returns period, this only applies to products that can be returned in a new & unused condition, with the original packaging.
IKEA mattresses only come with a "90-day love it or exchange it" returns policy.
We're not fans of this.
Most of the mattress brands we recommend offer completely risk-free trial periods.
For example:
These trial periods are great as they allow you to test the mattresses in the comfort of your own home.
If you're not satisfied, you return them, free of charge, and get a full refund 💷
If you're not happy with your IKEA mattress, you can return it - provided it is not dirty, marked, or damaged.
IKEA will offer you an exchange or a credit note.
So be prepared to spend the price of the mattress, even if you don't end up keeping it.
If you choose a more expensive mattress, you'll also have to pay the difference. If you choose a less expensive mattress, IKEA will give you a credit note on an IKEA refund card.
If you had your mattress delivered, the collection and delivery of the replacement mattress will be free of charge.
While we can appreciate the IKEA returns policy, we really do prefer mattress brands that offer completely risk-free trial periods, allowing you to test the mattress and get a full refund if you're not happy.
IKEA offers some of the cheapest mattresses on the market.
This low price point is great if you're on a budget, but we don't think these are best-buy options for permanent use.
But if you're looking for a good quality mattress that will last you a long time, offer you the best spinal support, and keep you pain-free, then you should look elsewhere.
Unfortunately, even the best IKEA mattress in Ireland can't compare to the more premium brands.
We can recommend a few great value-for-money options instead 👇

The Swedish furniture retailer surely needs no introduction.
Established in 1943 by billionaire business magnate Ingvar Kamprad, the idea behind IKEA was to offer a selection of furniture and household products suitable for the mass market - and affordable for everyone.
Inspired by Scandinavian minimalism, IKEA attached great importance to attractive design.
In the beginning, Kamprad only sold single products.
The first IKEA catalogue was published in 1952.
Today, IKEA is one of the world's leading furniture manufacturers with around 155,000 employees and an annual turnover of around £33 billion.
The huge furniture stores can be found almost everywhere - IKEA has a total of 433 stores in 52 countries.
Of these, 50 are located in Germany, 9 in Switzerland, 7 in Austria, and 21 in Ireland.
IKEA offers an amazing 25-year limited warranty on all mattresses.
This is considerably longer than competitor brands, most of which only offer 5 or 10 years.
Only the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress and the Nectar memory foam mattress come with a longer lifetime guarantee.
Of course, we wouldn't recommend keeping a mattress for that long.
You should replace your mattress every 8 -12 years.
We have an affiliate relationship with some manufacturers, where we receive a commission on sales if you click over from our site. This does not affect the purchasing price. In contrast: By using our discount codes, you'll get the best deal possible.
