Eve Wunderflip Hybrid composition
The Eve Hybrid is a pocket-sprung memory foam mattress that combines multiple layers of foam with full-sized pocket springs.
The layers of the Eve Original Hybrid are:

The Eve Wunderflip Hybrid acts as the pocket-sprung counterpart to the Eve Wunderflip, the best-selling memory foam mattress by Eve Sleep.

Eve Wunderflip Hybrid mattress cover
The top cover of the Eve Hybrid is made of a deep quilted fabric treated with Purotex+ [1], a unique 100% natural treatment that's been designed to reduce dust mites and bacteria.
The Eve Hybrid mattress cover can be zipped off and machine-washed at 40°, though we'd still highly recommend using a waterproof mattress protector to safeguard your mattress further.
Even though the Eve Hybrid is a no-flip mattress, you should still rotate it regularly at 180° to get the most out of it.
To make this a little easier, Eve Sleep UK has placed grips on the lower side of the mattress. 👌
Moving the mattress may still be a little challenging as it is quite heavy (32.3 kg / 71 lbs for the standard double), but not impossible.
Memory foam layer
Eve Sleep uses memory foam with an open-cell structure, which makes it up to five times more breathable than standard memory foam.
But you'll still get the same body-contouring feel you may be used to from memory foam products.
Dual spring system
The Eve Wunderflip Hybrid features a dual spring system with 850 extra micro pocket springs in addition to the main spring layer.
This allows for enhanced stability and support.
2x reinforced edge support
There are actually two layers of reinforced edge support within the Eve Wunderflip Hybrid mattress.
Edge support is designed to add extra stability to the perimeter of the mattress so you can enjoy its full width without feeling like you're falling off the sides.
Wunderflip firmer foam layer
If you prefer a firmer mattress feel, you can choose to have the Wunderflip firmer foam layer as your primary one.
Wunderflip medium-firm foam layer
If you prefer a more medium-firm feel, you can choose to have the Wunderflip medium foam layer as your primary one.
Reactive spring system
At its core, the Eve Hybrid features 1,000 full-height pocket springs that are slightly softer at one end and firmer at the other, allowing you to experience a firmer or softer mattress feel.
The springs are enclosed in breathable fabric pockets that hinder motion transfer and keep you better supported if you're sharing your bed with a partner.

Eve Original Hybrid mattress firmness
The Eve Original Hybrid was always classified as a mattress with a medium-firm feel but the revamped Eve Wunderflip Hybrid gives you two options:
- A firmer side
- A medium side
Depending on which you prefer, you can simply flip the mattress over - simply zip off the top comfort layer and attach it to the other side, and you're good to go.
How comfortable is the Eve Wunderflip Hybrid?
The Eve Hybrid is a very comfortable mattress with great support.
Does the Eve Hybrid offer good support?
The mattress has been designed to be comfortable and supportive no matter which sleeping position you prefer. 🥳
But, as a slightly firmer and more supportive model, we think it's best suited to back sleepers and front sleepers who benefit from a touch more support.
Back and stomach sleepers need a little more lift in the pelvic area to prevent the hips from sinking too deeply into the mattress.
The Eve Hybrid provides this extra lift, ensuring that these sleepers stay in an optimally aligned position and won't wake up with back pain.
Is the Eve Hybrid good for side sleepers?
Side sleepers won't be uncomfortable either, though, as the cushioning in the hip and shoulder areas allows for more comfort and pressure relief.
Generally, side sleepers need to sink into the foams a little more deeply, especially in the hip and shoulder regions.
This is necessary to allow for optimal spinal alignment and ensure you wake up tension-free. 🦴
The Eve Hybrid mattress gives good side support for most sleepers, though it may be a little too firm for very lightweight side sleepers, even on the medium side.

Temperature-neutral sleep
